He was the recipient of a star on Hollywood's Walk of Fame in 2012. West will be remembered by a later generation of TV audiences for his recurring role as 'Mayor West' in the series "Family Guy" (1999 until his death). In addition to "Batman," the TV series, he played the part in the 1966 film adaptation of "Batman, the Movie." After the series ended in 1968, he went on to a wide range of TV programs, in addition to films. Following numerous TV guest roles in such programs as "77 Sunset Strip," "Maverick," "Hawaiian Eye," and "Perry Mason," he landed the part of 'Detective Sergeant Steve Nelson' in the series "The Detectives" (1961 to 1962). He made his motion picture debut with a minor role in the Boris Karloff film, "Voodoo Island" (1957), and experienced a role of substance playing 'Bill Lawrence' in the Paul Newman picture, "The Young Philadelphians" (1959). ![]() The problem you describe mirrors a recent experience. But it's so frustrating when it's constantly disconnecting and I have to sit there waiting. I'd really like to use this for a project so I can see images on the computer screen as they are taken in interval timer mode. And I have tried much more than that as can be seen above. Can anyone help? I've contacted Nikon and they are not helpful at all, they take weeks to respond and then all they have to offer is "try upgrading your firmware" (I have) or "try updating the application" (I have). It seems like some people have no problem with this application. I think I have tried everything and isolated all other problems I can imagine other than user error and the app itself, but I can't imagine what I could be doing wrong. I've tried uninstalling all Nikon apps and reinstalling. The one I have now has solid state HD, 10.6.8, 2.66 Ghz, 8GB Ram. I've tried both a D3 and a D3s both with up to date firmware, and have the same issue with both I've tried numerous USB cables with no difference Multiple USB slots I've tried 3 different computers now, all new laptops with different OS versions, and no difference. I'm using the latest versions of the CCP2 and ViewNX2, and running ViewNX2 so that the images show up there after each shot in interval timer mode. Quitting the app and restarting, turning the camera off, unplugging and replugging the USB cable don't seem to make any difference.Īll computers are Macs running the latest 2 versions of OS (I've tried both in case it couldn't handle the most recent one) ![]() Using interval timer shooting I get around 30 shots (at 1shot/10sec) before it disconnects while trying to download an image and I have to force everything to quit and start over, but then it won't connect again when I plug in and I have to sit there waiting for it. Sometimes I give up on the app before it connects. Every once in a while it happens immediately. When I plug everything in it sits there with the "no camera connected" box, and sometimes it takes 5 minutes to figure it out and connect sometimes more. It won't connect to my camera much of the time though it eventually does usually, it seems to take a random amount of time to connect, then when it does it disconnects shortly afterward. I'm having a lot of trouble with this app, it's almost unusable from connectivity issues. ![]() ![]() ![]() I have to laugh at that one, since the OS has many modules loaded on top of microkernal, you can slim the system down very methodically and only load what you need, No "re-install" the whole OS issues, just "turn off" what gives the crash. Emulation is for those that are using applications that have little or no interaction with outside hardware.ģ) Mac OS 9 "crashes" a lot. Emulation cannot communicate with recording interfaces and MIDI in the way that is needed for a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). Now add in the whole "abandon-ware" thing and expensive programs that were now given away free because of OS X and it becomes a no brainier.ġ) Minority of a Minority.Yes, many that see the Inherit value of using an outdated OS are a minority of a minority, but they don't care they paid almost nothing for their Studio and they can actually produce real projects with self satisfaction and without the distractions of Facebook for a few hours.Ģ) Virtual Mac OS 9. They could buy (or even get free from scrappers) most of the hardware they needed. So creating a stripped down, fast, extremely stable digital Audio Workstation is quite simply and we wanted to document all the tips and tricks for musicians on a budget. Mac OS 9.2.2 is basically a modular system that can load an easily modified extension set. Windows has a spaghetti registry, and Mac OS X has countless daemons and agents. I also wanted to get meaningful tools and information to starving artists or beginning musicians that had little money. The reason I started the Mac OS 9 Lives site was because I recognized that there were musicians that utilized the aspects of the Classic Mac OS in their workflow, and that some of these tasks could not be easily accomplished or duplicated on other platforms. I would not consider myself as a "change-a-phobic", cheap, eccentric mac user that denies living in the present nor, would I consider myself stuck in the past due to an inability to learn new things. The Macs I currently use in my two Audio Recording project studios are several MDD G4 1.33 Ghz (with Xserve CPUs) running OS 9.2.2 and (4) mac Pro 8-Core Towers that all boot to Mac OS X 10.6, 10.8, and 10.10. Since I have had the opportunity (and the warehouse space) to store my computer collection, it has grown to over 100 Units with about 80 being Macs. I have been both a software and hardware consultant for small business, individuals, and have worked for a few major software labels. From PCs to Macs, from Novell networks to Windows Server 2008. I have worked with many personal computers and Networks on a daily basis since the late 80s. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Sprite Pixel art Animation, sprite thunder animation, game, 3D Computer Graphics, people png 992x512px 45.08KB.Double Dragon Neon Double Dragon 3: The Rosetta Stone Video game Symbol, double 12, white, dragon, monochrome png 892x895px 212.85KB. ![]() PlayStation Super Nintendo Entertainment System Sprite Sega Saturn Heroes of Might and Magic III, sprite, dragon, text, video Game png 1330x1430px 724.49KB.Battletoads & Double Dragon Double Dragon II: The Revenge Battletoads Arcade, sprite, text, video Game, cartoon png 468x590px 27.33KB.Double Dragon Neon Double Dragon II: The Revenge Battletoads/Double Dragon PlayStation 2, Double Dragon, fictional Character, cartoon, arcade Cabinet png 512x512px 323.88KB.Heroes of Might and Magic III Super Nintendo Entertainment System Sprite Dragon Video game, sprite, purple, blue, game png 2216x1630px 1.77MB.Double Dragon IV Abobo's Big Adventure Punch-Out!! Specially in cases where you start to do something just to have an idea to take the farm in another direction but can’t for the lack of money you just spent going in another direction. Having the option to start over or start a completely new one while keeping the old one would be very nice. Otherwise only options you have is to play your single game with no restarts, or play multiplayer. Then I would like to see a bank added to where you can take out a loan with monthly payments, and where you can start another farm or start over from the beginning. Suggestions I have is that you make it to were you can go into the house and maybe even to a bed to skip time(pay the cost if you have livestock to feed and skip anyways), or a 10x speed up option. Well worth the money and do buy all packs at once for those who are hesitant, its well worth it. Add atv ramps so u can load it on the back of the pickup so u don’t have to tow the trailer. Another idea would be to make it to where u have to open the door of the trailers. Put portable grain augers in also another grain bin sight. Also make it to where u can attach and detach the loaders and duals. And add different beds for the pickups and different trailers. Make it to where u can go in the buildings and open the doors manually so if u just want to park something the doors aren’t open. ![]() Another thing would be mount fertilizer tanks on the side of the tractors. Since every guard is dutifully watching another guard’s back, you’ll almost always be caught in the act if you simply sneak up to stab a lookout from behind. ![]() Plotting and executing a synchronised attack from all angles so that multiple enemies are taken out and disposed of to clear an area of threats in one fell swoop without raising an alarm is consistently satisfying to perform.ĭesperados 3’s automated assaults don’t make life too easy, though, because pulling off such graceful cowboy-killing choreography still requires a lot of rehearsals. Desperados 3 improves on that concept with some welcome extra features such as the ability to chain together a series of moves, like killing an enemy and then carrying and concealing their body, all in one action. It’s a slight shame she doesn’t actually join Cooper’s crew until roughly midway through the campaign, but when she does she reinvigorates the possibilities from then on out.Īll of the action plays out in real-time (this is not an XCOM-style game) but like developer Mimimi Games’ previous stealth-’em-up, 2016’s Shadow Tactics: Blades of the Shogun, it features the ability to pause the action and plot out a sequence of moves for your squad before executing them all at once to make complex simultaneous action possible. Tethering baddies together in this way leads to some truly inspired solutions for thinning out the enemy numbers, and I felt that Desperados 3 was really at its most flexible anytime Isabelle was placed by the story into my stealth squad of between one and five characters. This voodoo priestess provides a supernatural spin on the otherwise fairly traditional stealth mechanics, largely by means of her ability to fire a blow dart into two enemies to link them together as a pair of walking voodoo dolls, whereby whatever fate befalls one is simultaneously inflicted upon the other. Isabelle provides a supernatural spin on the otherwise fairly traditional stealth mechanics. Each character is consistently useful but by far the most valuable slayer in Desperados 3 is Isabelle. These individual skills are typically best used in tandem, such as using Hector to lay down a bear trap behind some bushes and then getting the coquettish Kate to lure them into its gaping maw. Cooper can toss coins to startle horses into kicking guards unconscious, Doc McCoy’s rifle can snipe enemies from afar, Hector’s shotgun blast can take out closely gathered troops all at once, and Kate can don a seductive disguise in order to divert an enemy’s gaze. ![]() Although it admittedly seems a little odd when these back-and-forths continue even when the characters are separated by large stretches of the map, almost as though they’ve been outfitted with walkie talkies by a time-traveling Doc Brown.Įach member of your bloodthirsty brigade has their own specific skills and tools, and much of Desperados 3 is spent hiding in bushes for several minutes at a time trying to decide exactly which combination of them is required to systematically snuff out each area full of enemies. An early mission sees two characters make a bet to see who can claim the most scalps, and then with each subsequent kill you can hear them call out their running tallies like Gimli and Legolas in Lord of the Rings, which is just one of numerous nice little touches. Their contextual banter as you make your way through each murderous mission really helps to define their individual personalities, making for an outlaw gang I was consistently happy to be at the reigns of. The plot may be more stock standard than an unmodified Winchester, but what makes the 30-hour journey of Desperados 3’s campaign so captivating is the camaraderie shared between its five playable characters. ![]() ![]() ![]() But the idea of a single 'cure' is not helpful. Look - asking 'Is there a cure for Depersonalization Disorder?' is totally understandable. You probably know people who have done those things - You may even have done them yourself! CBT, cognitive distancing, positive reinforcement etc etc. ![]() But can people do these things? Of course they can, they do it every day! There are tons of different techniques to deal with them. There's no pill or medication that makes people quit smoking or get over social anxiety overnight either. There's no pill or medication that will cure Depersonalization overnight. It's a totally understandable question, but it's simply not relevant to DP. So asking ‘Is Depersonalization curable?’ is like asking ‘Is there a cure for smoking?’ or ‘Is there a cure for for having a song stuck in your head?’ So just like I did, you spend entire days looking up how to cure depersonalization, and being frustrated and frightened when you can't find a quick answer like you would with a flu or an allergy. It can't hurt you and it won't turn into anything worse.īut of course, you don't know that when you first experience the bizarre thoughts and feelings of Depersonalization. It's completely different from organic conditions like schizophrenia, cancer etc. It's an anxiety-driven behaviour of thought, that's all. Now I know that's a bit of an oversimplification, but Depersonalization has a lot more in common with having a song stuck in your head than you might think. But taking time out of your life to sit around researching it, learning about it, focusing on it intently? Of course that will only prolong it! It will run its course naturally as you go about your life. Why? Because you know that having a song stuck in your head is NOT a sickness. You don’t go and start discussing the roots of that song and how and why it got into your head in the first place. You don’t spend hours and days on the internet researching the details of that song, other peoples’ experiences with similar songs. You don’t go to a doctor looking for medication. What you DON'T do is seek out a cure for it. You go about your life, you listen to other songs and allow the annoying thought to run its course. If you get a song stuck in your head for a day or two and you can’t seem to get rid of it, what do you do? Well, you don’t do anything! They can absolutely be reduced and stopped with therapies and treatment.īut there's no overnight 'cure' and it can be frustrating, even damaging, to think of them in that way! A Song Stuck In Your Head These are problems based on behaviours rather than being standalone illnesses. Why? Because the term ‘cure’ doesn’t apply to these things. But that doesn't apply to all medical problems.įor example, is there a cure for smoking? Another common symbol includes the use of cempasuchil, a brightly colored Mexican marigold, whose smell is believed to attract spirits to visit their families during Dia de los Muertos. The monarch butterfly is also commonly associated with Dia de los Muertos as they are thought to bring with them the spirits of deceased loved ones during their migration to Mexico. These brightly decorated sugar skulls are placed in the alters of the deceased, especially children, as a whimsical reminder of precious life. The calaverita de azucar, or sugar skull, is a prominent symbol in the Dia de los Muertos tradition. Families decorate alters, or ofrendas, with candles, photographs, toys, food, and bright colors to honor their loved ones and lead their visiting spirits home. Each day is a celebration filled with food, music, dancing, and coming together to honor the deceased whose spirits come to visit their families. Traditionally, Dia de los Muertos is celebrated on November 1st and 2nd, the first day primarily recognizing children who have passed, and the second honoring the adults. This exhibition features works that showcase the vitality of the community, cultural significance, and symbols surrounding the Dia de los Muertos celebration. More about reveling life than mourning death, this unique day encourages us to connect with loved ones while reflecting on the ties that bind the past to present. In many parts of Mexico, South America and the United States, Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, is a time to remember and celebrate the lives of friends and family. ![]() ![]() ![]() Internet explorer download for android tablet download for windows# About half of the population has a smartphone and it’s no wonder that about one-third of our web browsing is done via a smartphone - and the counting will only increase.
