![]() ![]() (One feature I’d like to see is the ability to have different scroll ball settings when you hold down a modifier key for example, to scroll when used normally, but to control the cursor when used with the shift key pressed. The only problem is that USB Overdrive isn't updated all that. While Steermouse has better mouse acceleration than Apple's drivers, USB Overdrive seems to do it right even better. Or, even more interesting, you can choose to have the scroll ball actually move the cursor, making it the world’s smallest trackball. I find that you can get much better feel to the mouse when adjusting the acceleration settings than with Steermouse. For example, you can assign keyboard shortcuts to each direction-left, right, up, and down. You can adjust both the scroll speed and the scrolling acceleration, but you can also completely alter the behavior of the scroll wheel. The Wheel tab lets you customize the behavior of the Mighty Mouse’s scroll ball. No action: This disables the button completely.Switch Application: Clicking and holding the button brings up OS X’s application switcher move the mouse cursor over an application and release the button to switch to that app.You can also choose to automatically “click” after the movement is finished-for example, you can set the Mighty Mouse’s side buttons to move the cursor to the current window’s Close button and automatically close the window. Cursor Actions: SteerMouse provides a number of predefined “cursor actions” such as moving to a window’s Close, Minimize, or Zoom button moving to the Apple Menu or moving to a dialog’s default button.Scroll: You can set any button to scroll up, down, left, or right, and customize the speed of that scrolling.Keyboard key or shortcut: Any defined key, such as the F-keys or volume up/down, or any custom keyboard shortcut, such as Command+W or Shift+Option+8.Contextual menu: A.k.a., “right-click” or “Control-click.”.Double-click: Alone or with the above modifiers.Click: Alone or with any combination of Command, Shift, Option, and Control.I only use Logi Options for updating firmware and the initial setup of the Unifying Receiver if I could switch off the input management easily that would be great. The Buttons screen lets you assign actions to each of the Mighty Mouse’s four “buttons”: left, right, scroll ball, and side. The only solution that works is disabling my MX Master 2S on SteerMouse (though I would prefer to disable Logi Options if I could). ![]() I've never run into any issues though until Big Sur. Having them both running at the same time never felt ideal because I can see complications given they're doing the same type of thing. SteerMouse gives me more control than Logi Options does and I've been using them both without issue until Big Sur. I'm currently using Logi Options and SteerMouse. ![]() I'm basically scrolling the wheel up and down repeatedly (not even that fast) Context But from here you can see that it's not scrolling at a steady, consistent rate. Here's a little demo, but it's hard to really see how it relates to the mouse scrolling physically. This happens whenever I scroll vertically in any application and it's very annoying. This has only started happened since Big Sur. I'm getting scrolling conflicts when SteerMouse and Logi Options are both active. ![]()
